  • Palace employs energy saving technology for Welgedachd water treatment project

    Energy Saving technology solutions incorporated
    The most significant technology being incorporated is the energy saving technologies into the design of the plant. For this specific project, Palace Technologies has conducted life cycle cost analysis of technologies to be employed within the Bioreactors i.e. fine bubble diffused aeration versus mechanical surface aeration. Although mechanical surface aeration was traditionally utilised due to robustness, low cost and operator preference the use of the more efficient fine bubble diffused aeration technology could not be overlooked due to the large energy savings offered.

    The Palace Group annual golf fundraiser delivered on its promise. Dubbed "The Event" for this was hugely supported by several companies and brands for the first time in its three year history, it was attended by more than the target of sixty (60) players who descended on the prestigious Houghton golf course with one aim, to play and have some fun. Golf Guys working with Palace Group managed to pull off an event that had to deliver on its promise.

  • World Green Building Council Award Scholarship win

    ce Group employee wins WorldGBC Scholarship

    Jonathan Chinomona, an electrical engineer with Palace Technologies based in the Port Elizabeth office, was awarded the World Green Building Council Scholarship to Congress and Greenbuilding that was held  in Toronto.

    The WorldGBC and the USGBC offered a joint scholarship to Congress and Greenbuild in Toronto to people from WorldGBC member countries with developing economies.

    There were four winners from four different regions: Jonathan Chinomona from Africa, Vaibhav Jain from Asia Pacific, Hend Bacha from MENA and Gillian Fraser from the Americas. Having returned from the congress, Chinomono hopes to plough back what he has learnt into the company's various projects in issues related to green buildings.

    Palace Technologies is a member of the Green Building Council South Africa.
