Despite missing some players who were called up for national duty, Falcons beat UJ six (6) goals to one (1) to gain some much needed points in the tight league title chase.

After this encounter, Palace Super Falcons are sitting in 2nd position with 2 games at hand, while Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are at the top of the league with 62 points having played 23 matches. Falcons on the other hand, played 20 matches with no loss, gathered 52 points and have 2 games at hand. With less than 10 matches remaining in the league, when it comes to the wire, it will be the goal difference that will count against Falcons which has 39 goals less than Sundowns. In the contention for the league title is also Croesus Ladies, who are now at 3rd position, having played 22 games and acquired 50 points.

It is quite tight at the top, with these 3 teams fighting it out to win the much acclaimed Sasol Women's Championships with the coveted price of R30,000.00 for the winner. The winner will also go through to the National Playoffs to face other winners from the rest of the 8 provinces. Falcons, as defending Champions, will have to fight hard to keep the provincial title, which they have won consistently for the past 3 seasons. Their next encounter is against the Mamelodi side, on the 21st April 2011 at Chloorkop.
