The core objective of this interview was to highlight the socio-economic impact of the Academy on its players and staff as well as its successes against the challenges experienced in the women's side of soccer.
The CBC was delighted to meet the Management of the Academy at Palace Group's Pathway Offices in Sandton where they started with the interview. They next went to one of the training sessions at Rabie Ridge Sports Ground where they met the players and Technical team, the development team and some of the players who are international recognized such as Portia Modise and Janine van Wyk.
They interviewed one of the star players, Mampa Tlhwaele, to find out more about the background of the women who are part of the Academy and the impact that the Academy has had on her life in particular. Palace Super Falcons Academy and Women's Football Club was selected for this interview based on the positive social impact it has had on its players and youth in its surrounding community and also on its outstanding performance in women's competitions since its inception.
