After many interruptions to the start of the Sasol Women's Provincial League 2011/2012, it finally kicked off on the 21st October 2011 in all nine provinces. Palace Super Falcons' first bit of action was set to start on the 29th October against Alexandra Ladies. This match was postponed as was the match that was to be held on the 5th November against Winchester Ladies. These delays did not deter the team's determination as they thrashed Springs Home Sweepers six goals to nil, in their first official league match. This success was followed by another when Falcons, owned and sponsored by Palace Group, won three goals to nil against Moroka Swallows FC on the 19th November 2011 and four goals to one against TUT at home in Thembisa. The next encounter was with Croesus Ladies on the 3rd December which saw Croesus Ladies lead Palace Super Falcons by two goals to nil at the half time break. Both goals were conceded from penalties very early in the match. The second half was electrifying putting the supporters, technical teams and players in suspense as Falcons missed close to four goal opportunities. Palace Super Falcons' first reply came from a corner kick, 20 minutes into the second half, when Gugu Gabuza slotted the ball into the net with a powerful header. Minutes before the end of the game, Janine van Wyk released a power packed shot from centre line which bounced at the goal mouth and found the legs of Nothando Vilakazi to bring the match to a draw and to a close. Palace Super Falcons goes on the festive break leading the pack in the Gauteng Provincial League Stream B with ten more games to play. In the team currently, Kgadi 'Gautrain' Mokoma is our top goal scorer having scored four goals. Falcons will be hosting TUKS at their home ground in Thembisa on the 21st January 2011.
