Palace Staff Gives Back to Alex Community-OVC's

At Palace Group, we have created a culture of giving from the heart within our own employees. This culture is embodied in our commitment to serve and uplift those in need within the communities in which we operate as a Group.

At Palace Group, we have created a culture of giving from the heart within our own employees. This culture is embodied in our commitment to serve and uplift those in need within the communities in which we operate as a Group.

Our recent campaign was the "Pass-It-On" Campaign that was aimed at getting staff in all our branches to give back what they do not have use for and pass it on to the next person who needs it. Participating in this for Gauteng were our offices in Midrand and Pathway (in Sandton).

Palace Engineering Services has a project in Alexandra, Johannesburg and we have had a cordial relationship with the communities there. We chose to give back to the orphans and vulnerable children of that community, specifically children who are benefitting from a flourishing project there, Noah's Ark situated at Realogile Secondary School (project is funded by Investec).

Our Strategic Communications Business Unit employees, who are driving all CSI projects within the Group made the presentation to the delighted and admirable children there.

Attending these from Noah's Ark project side were Goodwill Qushwana, Portia Mashimbyi, Hlengiwe Zondi, Bongani Manqele and Margaret Masinye.

In introducing the team from Palace, the Head of Communications Zanele Mlambo acknowledged that for them as employees, giving the winter clothes is one of many initiatives that they hope to bring to the project as it is for a noble cause.

"The little that we have managed to collect from the employees at our company is coming from their hearts," she said and further promised to bring along a bible for one very charming boy, Simon, who was smitten when Mlambo asked him if he'd like one to read more about Simon from the bible.

The day ended with a handover of stationery and school jersey for another pretty young girl, Phindile Mtetwa, also a contribution from Palace. Mtetwa was filled with joy and gratitude when she saw all the goodies nicely wrapped for her, with all the essentials she needs for school.

Goodwill Qushwana thanked Palace for the gesture and further urged the company to extend their hand of contributing to the project in the future.

We are looking forward to sharing more of such moments in all of our other branches.
