Location: Port Elizabeth, RSA. Narrative description of Project: The project involves Design and Installation of Electrical and Mechanical Services for the New Double Storey South African Police Service 10111 Call Centre in Korsten, Port Elizabeth. Description of actual services provided by Palace staff within the assignment: Palace Technologies is responsible for providing the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Consultancy functions for the New 10111 SAPS Project. This included the compilation of the Status Quo Report, the Preliminary Designs, Document preparation, Final Designs, and Construction supervision currently underway. The scope of appointment has been extended to include Sustainable Green Building Practices in the designs. Specific Services Include: Electrical Electrical bulk services connection, emergency generators, UPS power supplies, electrical infrastructure, electrical distribution boards, LV cabling, internal/external lighting, power distribution, Substation and earthing system, Lightning Protection system, external security / parking / landscape lighting and Lifts. Electronics Fire Detection and alarm system, Fire Evacuation System, Access Control System, Security CCTV System, Server Room, Communication and Security Control Room. Mechanical VRV HVAC System, Fire Protection System, Gas Protection System, Compressed Air System. The new building is expected to improve service delivery and enhancing the response times to reported incidents and emergencies, as well as strengthening public confidence in the effectiveness and reliability of the structures which support the call line. |
